Amélie Fish

Amélie Le Moine (aka Amélie Fish) was born in Quimper in 1980.  Always passionate about music, she began playing the trumpet at an early age and regularly plays with life jazz bands and participates in studio recordings.
She studied applied arts and then fine arts in Rennes following which, as a young graduate, she embarked on a long sailing journey to Antarctica with navigator Jérôme Poncet.
She travelled the world for years, often in sailing yachts and the sea became a major source of inspiration for her. Her initial painting style can be classified as free realism.
In 2006 she set up her own studio in Sainte Marine, a sought-after Breton sea-resort close to Pont-l’Abbé and started exhibiting her paintings publicly to wide acclaim.
Thereafter, she departed from her initial academic style and moved on to street art productions. Some of her most remarkable commissions include large scale frescoes such as in the town hall of Plomeur, Gouezec and the Café de la Plage et l’Ile-Tudy. She exhibited in Pont-l’Abbé and having been awarded an artist-in-residence scholarship she started collaborating with the Maison LE MINOR, producing embroidered tapestry cartoons, a collection of painted Breton furniture and designs for house linen and embroidered cushions.
A part of her productions is dedicated to customizing furniture, shoes and surfboards. The POSCA artists’ pens brand has been sponsoring her for ten years and she takes part in many public events for them.
She is now a regular contributor to LE MINOR creations and is simultaneously working on her future solo shows in Brittany and Paris.
